The parking lot of an IHOP restaurant recently collapsed due to the failure of an underground corrugated metal pipe causing an unstable slope adjacent to the building. Hemphill Construction was selected to immediately stabilize the utility and protect the newly opened restaurant. Hemphill selected Blue Iron to install steel sheeting using the press-in method to avoid potential settlement, or sloughing of the unstable slope.
